Important conditions for accessing loan products
Members must have saved consistently with the SACCO for at least 6 months, except for the Karibu Loan, which has different eligibility requirements.
Total monthly loan deductions must not exceed two-thirds (2/3) of the member's gross salary.
Loans must generally be guaranteed by qualified SACCO members unless the loan is eligible for self-guarantee.
The standard interest rate on loans is 1% per month on a reducing balance, unless a different rate is specifically stated for a particular loan product. Additional terms and conditions may apply depending on the loan product and member eligibility.
